Meet Our Founder, Erica

Erica LOVES love, authentic humans, random acts of kindness, music, being the 1st one on the dance floor, and freedom (just to name a few). Born on July 3, 1984, this proud Detroit Michigander has lived quite the adventure. Starting out coding in BASIC at the age of 14, to pursuing a career in law/politics while attending Michigan Sate University's James Madison College honors program, she quickly learned that she was not like the rest of her peers. After running a State Representative campaign in one of Michigan's largest districts she was appalled at the corruption in basically all branches of governmet, so there goes law school, now what? 

She went back to her technology roots, coding & representing cell phone game publishers to carriers back when your phone's flipped, face plates changed color, and the app store consisted of whatever 4 options could fit on a screen, one "page" at a time. Miserable just sitting behind a desk all day staring at screens she pivoted back to humans. Insert the pivotal moment she shifted into the world of large scale IT solutions, recruiting, contingent labor onshore & offshore staffing... or as she calls it now, professioal circle jerking. 

Rising through corporate promotions Erica began building a brand for the organization, traveling the majority of the year attending conferences, EDI Work Groups, client meetings, to Exhibit Halls (this gal has put up and torn down more trade booths than she could ever recount), she was getting burned out & depressed.

None of these companies actually cared about the humans her recruiting team would work so hard to find, all of the bait and switch from India where you interview/hire one gentleman to bring onsite to a client and a WAY different outside and inside person shows up... to all the HR & Vendor Management Karens who belong filing papers about papers, not deciding talent acquisition management strategy. 

Now living in Atlanta for convenience of flight options for travel, a promotion to expand the organization's national footprint, and the massive concentration of global orgs HQ'd there, she was still very asleep to how the "world" actually works. Are you awake yet?

Looking back, it is a no brainer why the hidden multi trillion dollar staffing industry she worked in and the tools designed to help you apply for a job (Who owns LinkedIn? Who owns Microsoft? Indeed?) are really designed to further enslave you. You are not the problem, the "systems" are. You are a beautiful magnificent human worthy of loving what you do!  

Knowing she had to change paths, while missing "home", community, her family... back to Detroit she went!

From running HR for the regions largest landscape & snow removal, building out a sales strategy for a FinTech payment gateway, to trying to find something more "9-5 normal" doing cybersecurity Project Management, she was always for 2 things... the fiat dollar and an authentic desire to wake up every morning HAPPY!

Then it happened, Erica got the taste of what it was like to wake up authentically happy for her "job" that no longer felt like a "job" and has been unable to settle permanently for less, ever since.  

AND NOR SHOULD YOU!

The year was 2015, with 25+ years of technology & workforce solutions under her belt, a career coaching business on the side, she embarked on a different mission... she wanted to "FIX" the hiring "systems". She has always thought anything is possible...

Fix the hiring systems? You mean the ones hedged on lies from so many different angles like... 

You have the Hiring Team lying about what the "job" actually IS, applicants lying about why they actually want that "job", systems full of bias blocking qualified candidates & small business owners from finding each other, meanwhile almost everyone in this cycle would rather be doing something else to earn abundance.

She knew there was a better way. 

Tasked to implement a hiring system for the 3rd largest eCommerce company in North America, she could not find a "tool" that did all of the thigs she knew it needed to in order to fix the broken system... so she began building one. Leveraging AI before it was a household thing, her system was working, but her business partnerships were not. 

After that dream fizzled (infiltrated by VC investors & greed), she shifted back to the core of what she loved "doing", coaching others to find new jobs or shift careers, helping organizations build out hiring methodologies that work and ooze retention, to her current fav... TAE Purpose Coaching (quit that job, go do what you LOVE!). 

She is a master ninja of maneuvering the back end job board & internal HRIS system technology blocking so many from even getting their resumes looked at, or finding opportunities not even posted. From interview, to negotiation, she will help you land that role you authentically seek, or help curate & nourish the path to build your biz, with love & determination.
